According to the latest data of the international semiconductor equipment and Materials Association (SEMI), the shipment volume of global semiconductor equipment increased by 30% in the first quarter of 2018, reaching 16 billion 990 million US dollars. In Japan, Europe, North America, and other regions, the shipment amount was 2 billion 130 million dollars (9%, 70%), 1 billion 280 million US dollars (23%, annual increase 39%), 1 billion 140 million dollars (28%, 10%) and 1 billion 270 million US dollars (quarterly increase, 4%, annual increase).
With the 7 consecutive quarter and 6 seasons of semiconductor equipment shipments in South Korea and the mainland, the shipment amount of Taiwan region is reduced for 3 consecutive seasons. The proportion of South Korea and Mainland China's shipments in the global market has risen from 27% and 15.4% in the first quarter of 2017 to 36.8% and 15.5% in the same period of 2018, and the proportion of the Taiwan region is 26.6%.
